OUR STORY

“Our mission is to nurture and inspire dramatic performance in adults of all abilities, deliver high quality arts instruction in a supportive environment, and provide a venue for each actor to share their voice and passion with their community.”

My daughter Amanda and her best friend Ellie have a passion for musical theater.  Every aspect entrances their imagination and grabs their attention.  They were able to participate in Community Theater as youngsters, but as they have matured opportunities were more difficult to find.

Amanda and Ellie have special needs.  While their challenges might make it a little harder to sing on key, dance with rhythm, or articulate lines, their passion for performance is as strong as anyone’s on Broadway. What they truly desire is to be in a real show.  Wear the mic tape.  Don the costume.  Let’s face it, have the spotlight squarely on them.  Be an integral part of something magical.

Not surprisingly, when speaking with other parents this love of performance and musical theater is not isolated to Amanda and Ellie.

This is the reason Front Row Players was formed.  Actors are taught to embrace a character, sing from the soul, and find joy in movement.  Our program offers instruction in collaboration, articulation, gross and fine motor skills.

Our professional instructors nurture the voice that is within each of our actors.  Sharing that voice on stage and in their communities promotes awareness, inclusion and confidence.

Our goal is not for a perfect show.   We ask all that attend to listen with your heart, see with understanding, and experience with pride all the work and learning that has occurred.

We offer a spring and fall semester.  We will rehearse on Saturday Mornings from 9-12 pm at Eastern Hills Bible Church in Manlius NY 13104.
